Geneva Philpot has served on the Visalia Public Cemetery District (VPCD) as a Trustee since 1995. Geneva keeps current with all laws and regulations as pertains to Public Cemeteries.
Geneva was elected to the California Association of Public Cemeteries six times , serving as president 2004-2005. She has been the recipient of The Cemeterian of the Year 2007;Ruben Siemen /Wayne Byington Award 2012. She is a Mentor Trustee.
Geneva was State President of The California Business and Professional Women through BPW she took and then taught Individual Development classes on public speaking and building confidence in women.
She served on the first Transportation Committee for the City of Visalia, served on the Visalia Times Delta Editorial Board in 1995 and as Emeritus member in 1998. Her work background was as Automotive Business Manager/Accountant for 30 plus years, retiring in 1995.
Geneva is never one to shy away from a challenge, always ready to learn something new, and to share her knowledge with others.
